Wendy M. Swanson

Senior Attorney – Silicon Valley

Wendy M. Swanson has advised and represented clients in complex business immigration matters for more than 15 years, with particular expertise in nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and attendant requests for evidence (RFEs), PERM labor certifications and attendant audits by the U.S. Department of Labor, adjustment of status applications, and naturalization applications.  She also served as the senior attorney of the Seid Law Group, recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top immigration law firms in the United States and a predecessor to Miller Seid LLP.

Ms. Swanson’s professional background also includes experience as a public relations account executive and account supervisor for established and emerging companies in Silicon Valley.  In this capacity, she gained extensive experience in client relationship management along with substantial exposure to the technology sector and to associated financing, including venture capital funding and initial public offerings.

She holds a Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating with a Certificate in International Law with a specialization in Public International Law.  During law school, she volunteered at the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center, providing pro bono assistance in immigration matters such as petitions for legal status under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and applications for asylum.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science cum laude in Mass Communications from Boston University, with a minor in Russian language and Eastern European studies.

She is admitted to the State Bar of California and to the bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
